I hesitate to use even upgraded versions of Chrome, since my last experience using it (first version) left my computer compromised; have they fixed the security issues beyond all doubt?

I use Firefox to browse the web and many of Firefox tools. Chrome does look good though so may think of swapping for general web viewing.

for me Firefox stays the nr. 1 solution. If you use lots of online applicaton it is good to have several browsers, some application do not work in one but in another.

Google Chrome is really good for browsing when you are interested in the page content but when it comes to developing, I prefer FireFox. Anyway, congrats to Google:)

Chrome to actually work and where is the user support? Knowing Google, they are probably downloading your information as you browse to sell to advertisers.

1. most serious disadvantage, can’t turn off Flash
(FlashSwitch , Noflash, FlashBlock etc. don’t work here)
2. No otion to change icons on link’s bar
otherwise nice, but can’t use it because of (1)

Not happy with Chrome, uninstalled and went back to IE. Much improvement is needed for Chrome to actually work and where is the user support? Knowing Google, they are probably downloading your information as you browse to sell to advertisers.

Thus far I personally have loved chrome. Quick, simple and easy to pick up. Plus it seems to load/cache pages alot faster. Javascript runs alot smoother. It has a very nice feel, and hasn’t crashed at all for myself thus far.

Here is my points of view

1. Seems Google Chrome is just a hack of Safari for Windows (both working abot XP SP2, and has most similar behaviors)
2. I think Most of ppl dont install Google Gears, so they have to make Pre-installed Browser, they might release new applications based on Google Gears soon.
3. No options to temporarily or permanently disable Flash or Plugins
4. Still cant find option to disable certains sites for Cookies
5. Like V8 Engine for Fastness
6. Seems Autolink Prefetching Options automatically download .exe file also including virus effected one

I’ve not yet tried Chrome but as a web designer, I can only hope that it (and google) stick to standards. I dread another niche browser entering the market and capturing just enough of a share that it need supporting only for it not to follow standards.

Started using from today morning. But i’m back to firefox3.

Chrome always crashed!! Yes it did crash many times. Not just one tab but many.
The page didn’t scroll well.
Blogger blogs dont open up well.. may be the % in the post links must have done the job of crashing.

I know.. this is BETA.
Hoping tht this Chrome shoud for sure rock the browsing world..!!

google-chrome-beta has some wonderful features such as smart download option,Dynamic Tabs , private browsing… its css support is strong enough than many other browser.. This is a beta version so we hope it will back with lots of features and plugin like firefox..

wow… such a great browser. Thank you for sharing. I hope it is forever FREE. Learnt that Google will charge its users in the future. Is it right? I installed and used it the whole day today. I like it very much. I love its wide-windows and many functions but I still hope for Google Green Pagerank checker on it. I also feel it is the most secured browser which I long for ages.

At last a simple and fast browser that sidesteps crash issues and offers everything I needed…would be nice to have skins and more browser options. Obviously needs some further development but a very good starting point.

Installed Google Chrome this morning, and like Google itself appears to be simple and uncluttered however from a developers point of view I;ve yet to discover how it will aid me. Both Firefox and IE have useful addons for developers. I guess for the average Joe wanting to browse the web Chrome is perfect.
