Editing Flash Templates

A lot of flash beginners wanted to know how to modify free flash templates from flashmo.com website. Here are a few basic steps for editing button labels in action script panel and contents for all pages.
- Button Labels are located on the first frame of actions layer in most of the free templates.
- You can edit them from menu_label array values by opening “Actions” panel (press F9).
- Edit “contents” or “flashmo contents” movie clip in the library for all different pages which are linked respectively to button labels.*
* Note for old flash templates
After you changed button labels, you also need to change frame labels inside “contents” or “flashmo contents” and also “photos” (if there is) movie clip which must be exactly the same as button labels. Otherwise, you will see the loop because flash cannot find the frame label when you click on a button.

Hello. Ehm im having some problems, i know how to edit the menu buttons, but when i want to edit the text inside the page of that button, it edits the text for all other buttons aswell.
Hi. I think I’m losing my hair from frustration here. I downloaded the free template ‘cloud_019′ twice now. I can edit the button for ONE page “development” , and this is the only thing that appears. I have a little HTML and Photoshop know-how. I can’t seem to get any other pages to appear so I can edit the buttons from the library! Also how do I edit the HTML? Totally lost here. In the “Library” A “main contents” page appears, only for the section entitled “development” all the other pages I cant access! Please help!

how cand i remove a button?

I’m new in flash.
I’ve downloaded flashmo_176_gift template. I’ve added some content, images and made some change to the button label using adobe flash cs4.
Now i would like to upload it into a subdomain folder at my hosting server. I’ve already got a site http://www.mysite.com and i would like to create http://www.cafe.mysite.com
My question is: which files should i upload and where to place it ?
I’ve tried to upload the flashmo_176_gift.html ( which i change the name to index.html) and flashmo_176_gift.swf (1.2MB) using cpanel manager from the subdomain folder called cafe that cpanel created for me.
But i can’t access my flash site. its’ said site underconstruction.
i didn’t upload any images or the script (AC run active content script, contact form script) .
Could you please help me?
I’ve downloaded the flashmo 184 business template, really impressed with it and love the layout – it suits my needs perfectly. Well, sort of as I do have a slight problem with the menu button labels.
I need to edit three of them to include a line break, so that the description is on two lines as they are too long for one line. I have tried adding the \n insertion but that doesn’t work. The string is as below, what I need to break into two lines is below that:

I need to break the lines to give the following:

You just need to modify the height of text field inside “flashmo button label” movieclip and then change Single line to Multiline in properties panel.

Desperately need help with one issue, which has already been dealt with by Louis; I have adjusted the content and actions pallets but cannot see why or where to adjust the photos pallet. I have done the rest but for some reason, no matter which label I click on, I still get the welcome page. It did work briefly for one label but soon reverted back to the welcome page and now does nothing else. I’ve looked everywhere, but cannot see where else to edit in order to get the labels functioning correctly and take me to the selected page.
If anyone can help, I’d be very grateful if they would not mind taking a look if they can email me? I’d then send the file by email.

How do I edit the round gradient background on 165 HD?
I am using Greek text in the news xml file and the encoding is utf-8, but when HD reads the news it gives me jibberish. What should I do?
Also, how is it possible to stall the menu loading for some seconds and add some other animated elements?

Transition IN is on “actions” layer > frame number 9 > line 15 and 16.

Change 4 to 3, that is…
Tweener.addTween( mc, { x: 200 + mc.item_no % 3 * 180,
y: 260 + Math.floor( mc.item_no / 3 ) * 140,
Then you will need to make some adjustments x: 200 and y: 260 to new values.

I have problem with edit site name in flashmo_197_bokeh, in other templates its movieclip logo which is easy to edit, but in this template i coudln’t find . Also near contact form u got some “sentences” Studio location etc. which are hard to remove.

Could anyone help to disable Music loop in the templates? It is shown Repeat 1 , even if I put digit “0″ it loops again again. Where is the clue for making it to play only once?

First of all great flash products, thanks you. I am having trouble finding how flash loads or even refers to the small thumbnails in the thumbnails folder. For the template flashmo074. I can change the large pictures okay with new document names etc. But just cannot find any script or anything that indicates how flash takes only the small thumbnail and puts them in to the film strip on the right hand side of Our Movies. Any help would be greatly appointed.

Great Templates, just require a little help please. I have downloaded 184_business and this template is great. Having one problem tho. I am using Flash CS4 and once I have edited the origingal 12 tile images, the hoverover image is the image of tile 1 (no matter which tile) and will not chnage back to the original image. Once the hover image has been shown it wont go back.
Can you help?

Once you open the Flash file, click on library, enter a (6 pages) – Double Click on (All Pages). Once we have displayed (click on Timeline) select the last frame and ready should appear to edit all content (location Studio One, Studio Two location, location Studio Three, Etc) …

There is no way to edit the title in the flash movie! I can edit the title on the html page but it does not change it in the movie and I have to use the title that says “Blah Blaah” “Sub Header free flash Asc” and that stinks! Some one please help!

Hey, I am having problems with the 189 Reflections template.
When i go in and edit my button labels and start editing the individual pages, once i load the .swf, all it does is continuously run thru all the pages, and wont stop. I didnt edit or remove any Stop actions.
